Burns Supper 2010

We held our first Burns Supper on 25th January at Jorgensen Park in Kalamunda.  Around sixty of us enjoyed a great evening of Traditional Scottish Food, Entertainment and Dancing.  The evening went something like this:

Selkirk Grace - Jean Wilson
Piping in the Haggis - Digger Wilson
Address to the Haggis - Charlie Cormack
Toast to the Haggis
The Supper
Cullen Skink or Cock -a-Leekie Soup
Haggis, White Pudding or Sliced Sausage
with Bashed Neeps  and Champit Tatties
Tipsy Laird

Entertainment
Tam O’Shanter - Jim Dick
Immortal Memory - Grace Reid
Songs - Jean Wilson & Anne Cormack
Toast to the Lassies - Reg Reid
Songs - Jim McGuire
Reply from the Lassies - Anne Cormack
Holy Willie’s Prayer - Jim Dick
Songs - Grace Reid

followed by a
Ceilidh with Numguts
The feedback we've had was really positive and we'd like to thank everyone who helped to make the evening such a success: the organisers, the performers, the volunteer chefs, waiters and washer uppers and especially the audience who so obviously enjoyed the strange Scottish proceedings (even when they couldn't understand a word!!)  See you all next year!
